Managing a handful of displays is a job you can do on foot, but managing a few hundred is not. Once an estate crosses 100 screens across multiple sites, screens drop offline unnoticed for days, the wrong file lands on dozens of locations at once, and a change that took a minute now has to be repeated a hundred times.

Why 100 screens breaks in ways 10 never did
At small scale you can check screens by walking past them. At 100+ screens, that falls apart: you cannot eyeball hundreds of devices, informal naming turns into a mess the moment two people onboard screens differently, and a single wrong playlist can reach dozens of locations before anyone sees it.
Scale also raises the cost of a mistake. A short outage on one screen is an annoyance; the same fault repeated across a region makes the whole network look unmanaged. Managing signage at this size needs a system, not effort.

What VXT CMS actually gives you
VXT is cloud based, so a screen only needs an internet connection to register, report its health and receive updates. No on-site servers to patch, no manual visits to push content. Five capabilities carry most of the weight once you pass 100 screens:
Real-time remote control
Open any registered display from the Screens menu and take over with your mouse and keyboard, as if standing in front of it. Won't work if the screen is unregistered, offline, has remote connection switched off, or is a virtual screen.
Early Warning status reports.

RM S or RM P: which tier a 100+ estate needs
Both tiers cover monitoring, remote control and security locks. RM P adds what a large, multi-site network leans on: Early Warning alerts, energy management, presets across many screens, and private certification.
For most 100+ estates, RM P is the right fit: Early Warning and fleet-wide energy tools are what stop a large network from drifting.
Switching from MagicINFO
If you're inheriting an estate, treat week one as an audit: check what's actually registered and online in the Screens menu, review naming and groups against the structure above, sample-check Security settings (inherited displays often ship with locks off), and confirm Early Warning recipients are current.
If you're migrating from MagicINFO, the headline change is that VXT is cloud native: no on-premise servers to maintain, updates and monitoring run from one web console. Workflows map across, but menu paths differ, which is why a planned migration beats a screen-by-screen scramble.
